Description

when I saw the picture in a magazine, I felt so lovely, so I copied one ;)

the work size is 230 x 320 mm

I use paper, pencil, brush for outline and gouache color to finish it

from last July till now, the most is finished

hope you will like it and give me more suggestion, thank you

P.S. my scan is small than the picture, so I had to scan one part and one part, it looks some difference to the original, sorry that (^^;;)

please

This is a great painting !
Finally something non-digital
The background fits very well in my opinion...
sort of reminds me of "Clamp X"

Okay, it's nicely done...but what's the point of doing this if you can't claim it as being 100% your work? Copying others' artwork is fine and all, and I really appreciate that you gave credit to the fact that it was a copy from a magazine, but generally in art communities (especially this one), people don't like to see copies of other people's work. For practice, it's great, but it's not really post-worthy.

See if you can take some of the techniques you learned from copying this image and apply them to something that's totally yours! _That's_ when you can get a lot of respect for your hard work! :)

I speak from experience when I say there are people who are ready to throw stones at just about anything on this web site. You did this non-digitally and for that you deserve big points! You've probably learned a lot from doing this piece and it looks like you've done it very nicely. Keep up the good work, Ceye.
